How to install

Unlock the wheel

Ensure the steering wheel is in the unlocked position before disconnecting anything.

Lower the column

Drop the steering column slightly to access the ELV connector behind the wheel.

Swap the connector

Unplug the OEM ELV unit and plug in the emulator. No coding and no scan tool required.

Frequently asked questions

Will this trigger a check engine light or fault code?

No. The emulator replicates the electrical signal of the original ELV motor, so the car's ECU sees a healthy module. Any existing ELV fault codes will clear after installation.

My steering wheel is currently locked, can I still install this?

If your steering wheel is already locked due to a failed ELV motor, we recommend contacting us first. We will provide instructions on how to mail in your parts so our team can safely remove the failed motor and prepare the unit for proper service.

Does this affect the immobilizer or anti-theft system?

No. The ELV and the immobilizer are separate systems. This emulator only replaces the steering lock motor signal.

Is this street legal and safe to drive with?

Yes. The emulator disables the mechanical steering lock, which is a common modification on track driven and daily driven 997 models alike. Steering, handling, and safety systems are completely unaffected.

What is included in the box?

The ELV emulator module includes an OEM matching plug connector for a proper fit, zip ties to securely mount the unit during installation, and is backed by a 1 year warranty.
